Module Overview

 

The technologies for gas separation are manifold. There are a lot of different applications and according to the amount of gas to be treatened, the purity and the recovery rate a lot of different types of modules in all sizes are available.

But the performance of a membrane installation is not necessarily related to its size. There are different membrane materials with totally differing behaviours in permeance, selectivity and not to forget durability. NanoGLOWA is developing membrane materials in five different development tracks. To give the evidence that the developed materials work, test results of real power plant tests will be given in the end of the five years project. To run these tests, modules need to be developed. Due to the global membrane module industrie a lot of solutions for gas separation modules do exist already. The table below shows an indicative overview of the different technologies. The values have the intension to show the order of magnitude.
